Remote Re-Pairing Instructions

If your remote isn’t working at all, and you’ve tried all other troubleshooting steps, then it’s possible that your remote has come unpaired from its USB dongle. To re-pair your remote and dongle, follow the procedure below.

Double-check first that your device is responsive (clock seconds are “ticking” along) and possibly restart it first (by removing and re-inserting the power if necessary) – a frozen device can often seem like a remote control failure!

If the problem persists, there are two possible methods for this depending on the model of remote, so just try them in order and one should work:

• Method 1:

        • Open battery compartment and remove batteries

        • Make sure dongle is plugged-in fully

        • Re-insert batteries and within 30 seconds:

        • Hold both Home and OK for 5 seconds, then release

            • The red light on the remote should flash

        • Hold the remote near the dongle for about 10 seconds

        • Pair should be completed, test by pressing Menu

    • Method 2:

        • Unplug the dongle from the Geochron Digital

        • Hold both Home and OK for 5 seconds until the red light flashes

        • Plug dongle back into the Geochron Digital

        • Pair should be completed, test by pressing Menu

If neither of these work, then there’s something else going on with this remote. Contact us at [email protected] and let us know you’ve attempted the re-pairing process.
