It is not always necessary to send the Geochron back to the factory, there are certain components that can be easily replaced by the Geochron owner.
New Electronic Ballasts
As of July 2010, the Geochron (North American units) light fixtures have been upgraded from magnetic to electronic ballasts. The benefits from this change are:
- longer lasting ballasts
- use less power
- generate less heat, meaning the plastics of the Geochron will last much longer
Light fixtures can be removed and shipped to us for rewiring. The process costs $75.00. Please include a Return Authorization Form.
